A new HD technology has been introduced to the market which allows surfacing on both sides of the lens. The vertical component, which controls magnification and distance, is molded to the front. The horizontal component, which effects power changes from side to side, is molded on to the back. Together these surfaces are integrated to provide a truly personalized lens.

In contrast to the front-molded, progressive lenses, the range of acuity is increased by up to 30%. No longer is a straight on gaze required for perfect vision. Some studies have even indicated that because of this increased field of vision, patients may report diminished neck and shoulder pain.
